I'm Devin Hunter I'm the Founder-operator of Creative Concrete which is a flatwork company that I've built over the last 15 years. Through the work that me and my team have done over the years, and the network I've cultivated in North Dakota we are able to work constantly throughout the working months April-November.

I'm currently looking to find a foreman, to work along side me, and assist me in growing & overseeing Creative Concrete.

This is lucrative position for the right individual, as I am willing to partner with you in this venture. Management skills and extensive experience in concrete construction will obviously be required. 

Additionally, I'm looking to bring someone on who has a positive growth oriented attitude, and someone who has strong communication skills on top of their technical skills in the field.

Job Description


We're looking for a competent and highly motivated Foreman for concrete construction business Creative Concrete.  Duties would include: job planning and managing workers at concrete construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and clients, you will be a key person for the completion of all projects.

This is a seasonal business and we work a lot of hours between the months of Mid-April through to Mid-November. In the off season people are free to do whatever they please. 

We are a flatwork company, so we typically stay in that arena but we do some stamped and decorative work as well. The majority of what we do is Commercial work, however we do take on the odd residential job.

Tasks

  • Take ownership of daily field management tasks
  • Lead crew to project completion
  •  Identify the strong points of individual crew members and directing them accordingly
  • ​Troubleshoot and find solutions for obstacles within projects
  • ​Confer with as well as direct supervisory personnel plus subcontractors engaged in planning executing work procedures, interpret specifications, and coordinate various phases of construction to prevent delays
  • ​Coordinate with subcontractors such as concrete pump & laser screed operators 
  • ​Coordinate with Ready Mix suppliers
  • ​Plan, organize, and manage materials, equipment
  • ​Establish and enforce execution of project objectives, schedules, policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • ​Identify and implement processes in collaboration with management to minimize expenses and eliminate waste
  • ​Coordinate with office staff and virtual team members when necessary
  • ​Support sales initiatives to generate additional place and finish work for the crew

Skill Requirements

  • Strong knowledge in concrete construction
  • ​Ability to learn and adapt to different project requirements
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong project management and construction job site activity knowledge
  • Expertise in construction operations management
